Using Intelli Sense

IntelliSense lets you write code quickly by providing information and word completion as you type. IntelliSense is also useful for flagging problems in your code. For example, if you don't see the member of an object that you would expect to see in the List Members list, your code might contain a typographical or other error. Identifying these types of errors as you type code is very useful, because it makes it easy to fix problem code before it has been compiled.

The IntelliSense features of Visual Studio are much richer than those in the VBE. The type of IntelliSense available in Visual Studio includes the following:

• Parameter Info

• Complete word

• Code checking, smart tags

• IntelliSense code snippets
