We began this chapter with an introduction to the Visual Studio 2005 integrated development environment and compared it to the programming environment in VBA. We took a closer look at the Properties window, Solution Explorer, Object Browser, and IntelliSense features, explaining how to locate and insert IntelliSense code snippets into your code. Next, you learned about what happens when you build a VSTO solution, including which project files are copied to the output folder. Then you discovered various debugging windows and learned debugging techniques such as setting breakpoints and stepping through your code to evaluate one line at a time, and you saw how this technique can help you quickly locate errors in your code. Finally, we looked at the Help system and described how to locate VSTO-related topics in Visual Studio.
