1. On the View menu, select Current View, and then click Customize Current View.

2. Click Group By.

3. In the Select Available Fields From drop-down list box, click Frequently-Used Fields.

4. Under Group Items By, click the field that you want to use to group items by.

5. In the Then By drop-down list box, click Conversation, as shown in Figure 8-19.

6. Click OK twice.

Sorting by Conversation Index The Conversation Index property is a way of keeping track of responses. When you sort by Conversation Index, the responses to each item are indented from, and follow directly after, the original item. In this way, users can track the history of responses to an item.

To sort items by Conversation Index

1. On the View menu, select Current View, and then click Customize Current View.

2. Click Sort.

3. Under Sort Items By, click Conversation Index, as shown in Figure 8-20.

4. Click OK twice.

Filter Items

Filters provide a way to find information quickly and easily in a folder. When a filter is applied in a view, only the items that meet the filter conditions show in the folder. For example, as shown in Figure 8-21, the filter created for the By Ad Type view shows only items created with the Classified Ad form (I PM. Post. Create Ad) in the folder.
