Chapter Summary

This chapter introduced you to numerous objects, properties, and methods available in the Microsoft Jet and Replication Objects Library (JRO) for programmatic control and management of database replication tasks. You learned how to convert a normal Access database file into a Design Master and used the new Design Master to create both full and partial replicas and learned how to ensure that a database object is replicable as well as how to avoid replicating some of the objects by keeping them local. You also tried out basic replication tasks, such as synchronization and conflict resolution.

This chapter concludes Part II of this book in which you learned how to use ADO for performing important database tasks by writing VBA code.
