Chapter Summary

In this chapter you learned how, by creating an array, you can write procedures that require a large number of variables. You worked with examples of procedures that demonstrated how to declare and use a one-dimensional array (list) and a two-dimensional array (table). You also learned the difference between a static and a dynamic array. This chapter ended by introducing you to five built-in VBA functions that are frequently used with arrays, as well as the ParamArray keyword. You now know all the control structures that can make your code more intelligent: conditional statements, loops, and arrays.

In the next chapter you will learn how to use collections instead of arrays to manipulate large amounts of data.
