Advantages of Using Object Variables

The advantages of object variables are:

• They can be used instead of the actual object.

• They are shorter and easier to remember than the actual values they point to.

• You can change their meaning while your procedure is running.

When the object variable is no longer needed, you can assign Nothing to it. This frees up memory and system resources:

Set frm = Nothing Set myControl = Nothing
