Locating Objects with the Object Browser

You can also use the Object Browser to search through object libraries for the text of your choosing. For example, suppose you were interested in any object or object member that had something to do with calculation in the Excel object library. To quickly generate a list of applicable items, follow these steps:

1. Open the Object Browser.

2. Choose Excel in the Library/Project drop-down list.

3. Enter calculate in the Search Text drop-down list.

4. Click the Binocular icon. You should see results similar to those shown in Figure 2.15.

From here, you can mentally narrow down the list of items that are applicable to your task and F1 them to quickly view the documentation for the item. You know how Google has also become a verb? To F1 it is the same kind of thing—it is short for "press F1 for help."
