The Visual Basic Editor Window

Now that you know how to record, run, and edit macros, let's spend some time in the Visual Basic Editor window and become familiar with some of its features.

With the tools located in the Visual Basic Editor window, you can:

■ Write your own VBA procedures

■ Create custom forms

■ View and modify object properties

■ Test VBA procedures and locate errors

The Visual Basic Editor window can be accessed in two ways:

■ From the Tools menu in the Microsoft Excel application window: Choose Tools | Macro | Visual Basic Editor.

■ From the keyboard: Press Alt+F11.
