Working with multiple versions of Access or Access file types has never been easier. With one or two commands, files can be converted to other file formats (2000, 2002-2003, and 2007) and file types, such as the MDE, ACCDE, and ACCDR.
Click the Office button, and then hover over Save As. You'll see how easy it is to either save the current object or to convert the database to a different format. Because Access creates a copy of the database before converting to a different format, it is that easy to work with both the ACCDB and MDB files. The file types to save as will change based on the type and version of the current database.
